Meer dan veertig jaar Kunst- en Antiekbeurs
Art & Antiques Fair ’s-Hertogenbosch heeft in de meer dan veertig jaar van haar bestaan een grote ontwikkeling doorgemaakt. Begon de oudste kunst- en antiekbeurs van Nederland in 1967 met zes antiquairs op het sfeervolle kasteel Bouvigne bij Breda, nu is zij uitgegroeid tot een groot evenement in ’s-Hertogenbosch met maar liefst negentig vooraanstaande exposanten uit Nederland, België en Duitsland en zo’n vijfentwintigduizend bezoekers. Toch is de gemoedelijke sfeer van de beginjaren gebleven. Art & Antiques Fair ’s-Hertogenbosch kenmerkt zich door de hoge kwaliteit en de enorme verscheidenheid aan collecties; van unieke kunstwerken van twee eeuwen vóór Christus tot en met objecten uit de 21e eeuw. Het aandeel hedendaagse kunst is toegenomen en de belangstelling voor Aziatische kunst groeit

Art Amsterdam, hét podium voor de hedendaagse kunstliefhebber, is meer dan ooit een afspiegeling van de internationale kunstwereld. Zo'n 125 galerieën uit binnen- en buitenland tonen de actuele ontwikkelingen in de hedendaagse, internationale kunst. Naast de top van de Nederlandse galeriewereld is het aantal buitenlandse galerieën gestegen tot 32, afkomstig uit België, Denemarken, Duitsland, Engeland, Frankrijk en Korea. Kunstverzamelaars komen op Art Amsterdam meer dan ooit aan hun trekken. Op de centrale tentoonstelling 'Het Collectiegebouw' ontvouwt Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen zijn plannen voor een nieuw depot voor het bewaren en tonen van kunst van o.a. privé-verzamelaars. Ook is er tijdens Art Amsterdam een speciaal symposium over de relatie tussen musea, privé- en bedrijfscollecties. Verder mogen zestig jonge, aankomende kunstverzamelaars tussen 17 en 22 jaar deelnemen aan de Dag van de beginnende kunstverzamelaar. De meest veelbelovende jonge kunstenaar op de beurs ontvangt de prestigieuze Thieme Art Award. Het werk van de vijf genomineerde jonge talenten is te zien op de beurs. Ook zijn er 19 solopresentaties van kunstenaars, is er een opvallende expositie 'Landmijnen' van Maisenbacher Art Gallery uit Berlijn, zijn er talkshows over actuele onderwerpen en dagelijks drie gratis rondleidingen.
